Steve Balter
Steve has worked in the trades over the last 40 years. First as a carpenter, then as a furniture maker. He was formally trained at the North Bennet Street School, the oldest trade school in the country. There Steve learned traditional methods of furniture building and produced furniture based on 18th-century design. After a lifetime of working in wood, he continues to refine his skills in technique and design.
Olda Zinke
Olda has worn many hats throughout his career. First as an apprentice turned journeyman for a machinist/fabricator in Czechoslovakia, then as a toolmaker in Germany. He continued to develop his craft after moving to the US where he gained notable recognition for his fully suspended bicycle, frame steel table bases, and his passion project — the geodesic sphere. With over half a century of experience, he’s achieved an unmatched skill set.
